SAP Patches release on SAP Security Patch Day of August on 8th 2023

 

The SAP Security Patch Day in August 2023 offers security patches for multiple SAP components. Today, the SAP Response Team has released several critical patches for vulnerabilities, including one (1) SNOTE with a Hot News Priority, indicating the highest level of severity. Please download the patches using SecurityBridge Patch Management and verify which updates apply to your installed base.

Out of 17 corrections, we've identified 1 as Hot News, 7 as High priority, another 7 assigned a medium priority, followed by one patch with Low severity. Following a risk-based patch management process, we advise you to sequence your activities by priority. However, it's important not to overlook patches with low priority. Severe attacks have been discovered that exploit multiple low-priority vulnerabilities in a chained sequence.

To safeguard your systems, it is crucial to promptly apply the necessary patches. We strongly recommend prioritizing ALL these security patches to mitigate potential risks and protect against exploitation by malicious actors. Keeping your systems up to date with the latest security patches is vital to minimize future vulnerabilities.
