The advisory for SAPGUI / Frontend adresses a "[CVE-2020-6228] Missing Integrity Check in SAP BUSINESS CLIENT". SAP Note 2866752 was released on 14.04.2020 and should be implemented during part of maintenance. The implementation demands a downtime. Component BC-FES-BUS-DSK has a medium risk of exploitation, according to the manufacturers security and response team.
Following the SAP Security Advisory team, a workaround does not exist.
SAP Business Client installer does not perform necessary integrity checks, which could be exploited by an attacker to modify the installer.
SAP Business Client provides appropriate integrity protection measurements now.
Applications of the SAP GUI Family are SAP's universal clients for accessing SAP functionality in SAP applications. The GUI functions like a browser. It gets information from the SAP server like what, where, when and how, to display contents in its window. SAP GUI comes in the following three different flavors and exists in multiple versions:
